Not All Awards are Created Equal

Over the years Tom's Mechanical has received numerous awards for sales achievements, overall management and customer service. We love to receive awards – they make us feel good and we get to add cool plaques to our lobby wall. Last month we won another award and it reminded us that some awards are simply more special than others.

Last month Tom's was voted "Best Heating and Cooling Company" in the Arlington/Mansfield area by the readers of Living Magazine. For us, this is the best kind of award because it comes from our customers. At the end of the day we want to be known as a great customer service company, not just a great heating and air conditioning company.

We also take great pride in maintaining an A+ rating at The Better Business Bureau and for winning the Super Service Award from Angie's List for the past seven years. These awards result directly from excellent comments received from actual customers. Our employees do a superior job and are recognized by our customers for their outstanding efforts.

Don't get me wrong – we still like to be recognized for excellence by our suppliers. We have those plaques on our wall, too! But the people who have kept Tom's in business for more than 50 years are the people we want to satisfy. Thanks to our wonderful customers for continuing to rate Tom's customer service as something special!
