RICH ASHTON

President

Rich attended Washington State University then served in the Navy before beginning his career in the real estate business with the Trammell Crow Company. After selling his real estate interests in 1983 he purchased Tom’s Mechanical in 1988. His business passions are customer service and employee development. Rich is an avid golfer, father of two grown sons and grandfather of four. He and wife Rene’ live in Arlington and regularly attend Gospel City Church.

STEVE ROBERTS

General Manager

When Steve joined Tom’s in 2018 he brought 25 years of experience in every phase of HVAC operations, both residential and commercial. His special expertise with chillers and boilers has been of great importance to the growth of Tom’s Commercial Divisions. As a result of his overall leadership skills he was promoted to the General Manager position in 2022. Steve is an avid outdoorsman and is planning to be married later this year.

BRIAN LACKEY

Residential Systems Manager

Brian literally grew up in the HVAC business, working alongside his brothers in his dad’s company. Shortly after graduating from the University of Texas at Arlington Brian joined Tom’s Mechanical in 2000 as a Residential Retrofit salesman. Drawing on his years of hands-on experience Brian is able to help our customers solve difficult issues. He is also responsible for training and mentoring the sales people who report to him. He lives in Colleyville with his wife and two daughters.

JIMMY HIXON

Residential Service Manager

Jimmy joined Tom’s in 2010 as a residential service technician and quickly became a favorite of customers and co-workers. In 2014 he was promoted to Field Supervisor and in 2022 became Residential Service Manager. He embodies one of Tom’s Core Beliefs, The customer doesn’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” Jimmy lives in Arlington with wife Victoria. They have three children, enjoy spending time with friends and supporting local sports teams.
