Captain Comfort is Finally Ready to Go!

After nearly a year of planning and preparation we are finally ready to introduce our exciting new Captain Comfort Home Energy Assessment program.  For years you have heard about ways to save energy by upgrading your heating and cooling system.  That hasn’t changed, but Captain Comfort is now able to show you so many more ways to save energy dollars at home.

Exactly what is a Captain Comfort Home Energy Assessment?  Using state of the art technology, a Tom’s representative will thoroughly analyze your home for energy waste.  We’ll pressurize your home and check for air leakage.  Using infrared technology we’ll identify insulation problems.  If necessary we’ll pressurize your ductwork and search for air loss.  We’ll even look at your lighting and make recommendations to improve energy efficiency.  And of course, we’ll check out your heating and cooling equipment for age and efficiency.

Our investigation is very thorough and in most homes takes approximately 3 hours.  Our findings and recommendations will be bound into a comprehensive report which will be presented to you at your convenience.  Customers who have used this new service have been amazed by the amount of useful information it provides.

(Note:  The Captain Comfort Home Energy Assessment is most effective for single-story homes of less than 4,000 square feet which were built before 2000.)
